President’s Newsletter October 2021

From our President….
[Drawing should be] a journey of pleasure. Each step must present to the travellers’ view objects that are eminently interesting, varied in their appearances, and attracting to such a degree as to excite in each individual thus happily employed the desire of knowing all respecting all he sees. – John James Audubon

Hello group,
It is that time of the month again to start thinking about our next meeting. I hope you are finding ways to stay warm as the cool winds are starting to blow. I have been managing to get on some hikes and enjoy taking pictures this time of year. Elm Grove Park is especially beautiful ‘In the Autumn’.

Only two more meetings left before our three month break. I am so glad that we have been able to meet in person for many months.

If you haven’t gotten a chance to see the Courthouse Show yet, I encourage you to go and take a look. There is a lot of beautiful work there. Meena will be announcing the winners soon. Thank you Meena for all your work.

We have nominees for all the positions for next year except one. We still need a President. Please consider serving in that way.

Our challenge for the month of October was to do a Crayola (or other brand) painting. I have been having fun with this challenge and have been working hard on mine. I look forward to seeing what other people have done.

For the month of November, Meena will be presenting a challenge based on the work of artist John James Audubon. She will be explaining it in more detail.
That is all for now. Keep creating and I hope to see you soon!

Janet Knapp
